What is community service?
By Community Service we understand the group of activities carried out by students or university alumni for the benefit of society. During the community service, the knowledge acquired during the program is applied, and with this, we contribute to the economic, political, social and cultural development of our country.
Currently, the community service represents a source of trained human resources for supporting different social programs that are generally fostered by federal, state and municipal public agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), non-profit organizations (AC), private charitable institutions (IAP), among others.
Through this activity academic and professional training of students and alumni are strengthened since it provides experience and it contributes to the development of our country.
For the UAM the community service represents an opportunity to establish and consolidate relationships with different sectors of society; strive for alternative solutions for different social problems and enhance change perspectives orienting and fostering collective participation.
What are Professional Practices?
The professional practicum at the UAM is an educational activity that links the student to a professional academic exercise with the purpose of applying the acquired knowledge. During this activity, students develop and strengthen competencies, skills and attitudes that foster their link to professional work.
